Fit
- Which adjustable bed size should I choose: Full, Queen or King?Match the base to your mattress size: Full 54″ × 75″, Queen 60″ × 80″, or King 76″ × 80″ (width × length). Then measure the inside of your bed frame against the base dimensions. Classic comes in Full, Queen and King; Massage comes in Full and Queen. The King is one base, so both sides move together.
- Do I need a box spring with an adjustable base? No. A kaipuyiree base stands on its own legs and supports a compatible mattress directly on the moving deck. Do not place it on a box spring, slats or a platform deck. If you use an existing bed frame as a surround, remove its mattress supports only if the frame stays sturdy, then check the space for the base and its moving sections.
- Will my mattress work on an adjustable base?If your mattress is 10″ thick or less and made of memory foam, gel foam, latex, or a foam or latex hybrid with pocket springs, it should bend with a kaipuyiree base. Traditional innerspring coil mattresses, thick and firm one-piece mattresses, coconut-palm mattresses, air mattresses and water beds are not recommended.
- Can an adjustable base go inside my existing bed frame?Usually, yes. Remove the slats or box spring, measure the inside of your frame, and make sure it is at least as long and wide as the base: Full 74.5″ × 53.5″, Queen 80″ × 59.5″, King 80″ × 76″. The base stands on its own legs inside the frame, so set the legs high enough that the head and foot sections clear the side rails as they lift.
Buying
- King vs Split King: can two sleepers adjust their sides separately? The kaipuyiree King is a single 80″ × 76″ base (length × width) for a 76″ × 80″ mattress (width × length). Both sleepers share the same head and foot position. A Split King normally uses two Twin XL bases and separate mattresses so the sides can move independently. The models shown here do not include Twin XL or Split King.
- How do I buy a kaipuyiree base and check delivery?Choose Classic or Massage, then your mattress size. The size button opens the matching Amazon.com ASIN. Set your delivery address on Amazon and check the current price, seller, dispatch details and return terms before ordering. This website covers the US catalog and does not take payments or promise international delivery.
- Choosing an adjustable bed for an older parentFor an older parent, look for a head section that rises far enough to sit up without help (kaipuyiree: up to 65°), legs you can set so the mattress top is a comfortable height to stand from, a remote with large clear buttons, and an under-bed light for night trips. A home adjustable base is not a hospital bed: it has no side rails and does not raise the whole bed for a caregiver.

Sleep
- Sleeping with your head raised for nighttime heartburn: what an adjustable base can and cannot doThe NIH (NIDDK) lists raising your head 6 to 8 inches while you sleep among the lifestyle changes for acid reflux and GERD. An adjustable base lets you raise the head section from the remote instead of stacking pillows or blocks, and you can lower it again in the morning. It is not a treatment: it does not cure or prevent reflux, and heartburn that keeps coming back is a reason to see a doctor.
- Does raising the head of the bed help with snoring? It may. Mayo Clinic lists raising the head of your bed by about 4 inches as a home step that may help with snoring, alongside sleeping on your side. An adjustable base makes that small lift with the remote; on the kaipuyiree Massage model it is the one-touch Anti-Snore button. Loud snoring with pauses in breathing, gasping or daytime sleepiness can be a sign of sleep apnea and should be checked by a doctor.
